hahaha..no.
Its more like creepy guys who try to rub up on you while on the dance floor.
But, I have watched quite a few times something similar to what you describe above.
I've seen people make a circle for breakdancing and so forth every now and then.

I don't think anyone would mind if you did your moves. Alot of people dance silly. Besides after 11pm, most of the people are pretty drunk and don't notice.

I have no idea who that guy is so I can't give you an opinion. =)

No, we get all drunky and sloppy, just like in real life!

hahahaha dance off. that's funny.

ever seen thriller??? Its alot like that really....

not at all my friend, You have been watching way to much tv!

Rarely have I been to a club where space was made to make room for choreographed dancing, but it has happened. It depends on where you go, the type of music they are playing, and how good the dancers are. If someone is really good or doing something unique, then sure, some people may stop and watch. However, most people are doing their own thing and aren't really paying too much attention to what others are doing (unless they are causing a real spectacle).

If you did a comedy move, you may get some people who will stop and watch (and laugh), but don't be surprised if some aren't impressed. Like I said, depends on the crowd and the vibe where you're dancing.

Uhhhh.,..... no. watch 'Not Another Teen Movie'.... theres a line in there where some kid says, "who knew everyone in our school was a professional dancer...". Thats the truth.... they TOTALLY dramatize that. In the club you have to be REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY AWESOME to have the crowd stand aside and watch you break it down. Ive only seen that one time, and that because this guy WAS a professional dancer... like they are in the movies, but that almost never happens.

So the answer is no.... thats not a common thing. Americans arent that bright and they make us look alot better in movies than what we really are :)
