Question: i dont really get the ending like how at then end, when will smith, the girl, and the little boy are behind the glass wall, he just says "the cure is in her blood." how does he know that the cure is in the mutent things blood ?

Whatever Dr. Nievel injected into that woman-mutant, it caused her system to produce enough anti-bodies to reverse the mutation and started to become normal again. What Dr. Nievel injected was not the cure itself. Rather, its just some sort of a catalyst that would cause the reversal of the mutation.
because the girl was starting to get better.... he stats were practically normal and reg. color was returning to her.....
I think because she was gradually turning back into a human being because he had injected her with an antidote.

It's been a while since i saw it but i remember seeing a butterfly or something and just assuming that it made him realise that the cure was in the mutant's blood.
Hated the ending!
just watched the ending again and the reason is that as they go to the basement when the zombie things (people) have broke into the house.
the woman see's the one he has on the table and says its working its working because she had turned back into a normal looking woman and was breathing normaly
