X-Files 2 Film Details?!
Question: I just read this article posted under "entertainment" in the Yahoo-box right on the homepage: http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/ap/20080...
It says in the article that Carter was quoted saying in the film there will be a reference to William, who was "GIVEN UP FOR ADOPTION."
This seems really odd to me, because from what I remember that baby was the thing Scully wanted most in the world. Doesn't it seem out of character that she would just give him up after all the trouble it took to keep him?
So my question is for all you X Files fans is, do you think this is a new development for the sequel that they'll explain in the movie, or did I just COMPLETELY miss some hints of it during the last season? (It is possible that it was mentioned near the end of the show, I know I started losing interest after Mulder "died.")

Like you I lost interest after Mulder "died" but do remember that Scully had to give her baby up for adoption for his own safety - he was being hunted and someone wanted him dead because of what he was (Whatever that is)!
