candy man is old but its good n scary to me! sleepyhallow os old too but its even better! freddy n jason movies are classic oh you have to watch poltrigiest and exorcist those are really good n scary!
I think all the saw films are ace
bambi returns... man its pretty scary
I Am Legend, 30 Days of Nights (They have lots of "mugwumps"/"zombies" in them)
Films about vampires, Frankensteins, crips, werewolves, etc. don't seem to be made much anymore
Ah, a couple I like are -
Wolf Creek. It's gory, chilling and creepily possible. Quentin Tarantino said it was the scariest movie he'd ever seen.
House of 1000 Corpses. It's a bit of a cross between a joke about horror movies and a horror movie. Essentially you have all the elements you will ever come across in a horror movie with all the characters - it's a bit tongue in cheek in parts but it's also a good spine tingle every once in awhile.
The Ring isn't bad, although part of the reason why I might have been so scared when I saw it was I was staying at a house with a well next to the room I was watching it in!

Uh... There are loads of good horror movies out there. And the problem with having people just name them is that we don't know which sub-genre of horror films you like. Do you like vampires, werewolves, zombies, slasher films, battles between good and evil? We personally like all of them, but I know people who only prefer certain types.
