Question: I am writing an essay on how the visual aspects of Across the Universe contribute to the ideas of the film, and I was hoping that those of you who have seen it would help me out by naming some ways that you think of... I have quite a few but i'm notorious for missing the most obvious examples and I want to be as thorough as possible in my examples. Thanks!!

Certainly the "She's So Heavy" sequence is the most riveting, putting a different meaning onto the song that I had not imagined upon first hearing it when it originally came out
The visual that really struck me a being so apropos is when the dude is in the recruiting station. That whole sequence was amazing in the use of the music and the visuals to go along with it. I especially like the part where the soldiers where marching and the it pans up and you see the Statue of Liberty on their backs. Amazing...I really liked the whole movie!
