Have you seen "Into The Wild?"?!

Question: I own the DVD and my feelings about Chris Mccandless is he was foolishly eccentric, but I do give him credit for his courage and endurance. So, there's a lot of ambivelance. He also had a lot of issues w ith his family. Tell me if you saw it and your thoughts on it.

After watching the film a couple times, I tried to imagine how he must have felt when he could no longer find food to eat and was wasting away. I can see how he could eat the wrong plant. The edible plant was wild potato root while the inedible one was sweet pea. The wild potato and the wild sweet pea are much harder to tell apart once they lose their blooms in midsummer. The leaves look almost identical unless you examine them from below. The underside of the wild potato leaf has small veins on it; the underside of the sweet pea leaf doesn't. No wonder Chris yelled out in total frustration! And that had to have been a terrible death. But I wondered, too, if he had any regrets for having attempted the adventure of a lifetime--literally, his own.

I wish I had the conviction he did to do something he so believed in. I really liked it.

i have no idea who is Chris Mccandless ?
wish i knew but who is he?
