How do movies fool are eyes into thinking images move?!

Question: It is our eyes that do the fooling. It is persistence of vision. The image does not leave our retina before the next frame lands on it and has the picture change slightly. This makes it all seem seamless without a flickering sensation.

camera tricks
and effects when they put 2 different parts of film together

because there are hundreds of pictures one after the other.

cool fact pigeons see faster than us that is why its really hard to hit them with cars. if a pidgeon watched one of our films they would see the pictures in a really slow slide show.

Its really our eyes doing it. If you take your hand and wave it back and forth as fast as you can, you don't see your hand really anymore, you just see a blurr, so it is your eyes that can effect it the most.
