Any movies like this, with the same setting???!

Question: Just saw "The Mist" on DVD, and all I can say is "Wow, what a movie!!!"; I'm kicking myself in the butt, for not seeing this movie in the big screen, where it definitely would have played the best. It was most interesting to have a horror movie take place in a grocery store...a place where it would be easy to sustain one's self, and survive...but unable to escape past the safety of that facility. My question is, are there any other movies out there, with this type of subplot (...in particular, a grocery store type setting)???

...of course and naturally, both versions of "Dawn of the Dead", would be most obvious!!!

...in the late eighties, there WAS a horror film, called "Intruder", which was produced by Sam Raimi's fledgelings production company, and was one of the first films that displayed the special effects of the KNB Effects group; the film DID in fact, take place in a grocery store, but in THAT film, the horror was actually inside the store, trapped amongst the hapless and clueless souls inside the store...

in 1990 - there was a movie called "Tremors" where a bunch of folks from town are sort of trapped at the local grocer because big worm/snakes surround the place. a fun, scary kind of movie.

also, "Clerks" mostly takes place in a convenience store - but it's not really a scary movie.

another King book turned into a movie is "the langoliers" (95) where a group of passengers are trapped at a deserted airport. aweful special effects, but interesting and suspenseful film.

hope this helps.
