Saving Private Ryan (1998)
much better movie than BHD.

BHD has many accurate and actual details but one that I disliked was :
the film features soldiers wearing helmets with their last names on them. Although this was an inaccuracy, Ridley Scott felt it was necessary to have the helmets to help the audience to distinguish between the characters because they all look the same once the uniforms are on.

Saving Pvt Ryan because I liked it better
Ryan was by far the more moving of the two, and while both were of historical and political significance, Ryan chronicled one of the most important events of the 20th Century and of that generation. On the other hand, Black Hawk Down sure convinced the U.S. that its military is not invulnerable, omnipotent, and omniscient, didn't it?
Both films, I had difficulty knowing who I was seeing at any given time, just helmets and grime and smoke.
i like saving private ryan, i liked that movie more because i like learning about ww2 more than what happened recently and because i wanted to know if ryan got back home safely
SAVING PRIVATE RYAN
I think saving private Ryan would be the better Joice of the two. For one thing i like knowing more about older history than about what has happened recently. Black hawk down is a very good movie as well though, it has a very good meaning for its store. =D i also liked saving private Ryan better because i wanted to see what happened to Ryan and if he made it back alive or not.

I prefer black hawk down. Its based on actual events that were more recent that I am able to relate to. It shows just what can happen when you think your going to partake in something and take it for granted. Something that was only suppose that last for a few hours in and out no casualties but we all know how that turned out. Another really good movie based on a true story is We Were Soldiers.
