Before I toss out my VHS tapes, is there a way to record them to DVD?!
Question: My DVD recorder says that most of them are copy-protected.
Answers: My DVD recorder says that most of them are copy-protected.
The way I record my old VHS tapes to my DVD recorder is I play the tape (through the TV) and press record on the DVD, after recording ends, I edit the bits I don't want and then burn it from the hard drive onto a disc. I have never come across a VHS tape that has been protected only commercially made DVDs. There are copyright laws attached, is this what you mean?? but that would not stop you from recording it to a DVD recorder.
It is possible if you recorded them yourself. If they are specific tapes that you bought you probably wont be able to.
i have same problem so im just downloading the films i have on video tapes from places like isohunt and the pirate bay
cos ive got great filmson video
If they are copy-protected then I don't u can record them. However, I would sell then (not throw them out) and you might make alittle money so that you could go out and buy a few of them on DVD (prolly not going to make a whole lot.. but if you look for "used" DVD's on amazon.com or something? Then you could make out pretty well)
Use this....
