Superbad AND Sweeney Todd?!

Question: is the blood anything like the one seen in the movie Superbad?

Answers: is the blood anything like the one seen in the movie Superbad?

There is much more blood in Sweeney Todd (graphic throat slittings, a guy's head gets smashed in, etc.). The blood itself isn't that realistic (It's almost Monty Python-ish), so it's not that bad. Funny you should mention Superbad, as both films have gory scenes played for comedy. There's the supermarket scene in Superbad, as you probably know. In Sweeney Todd, on the other hand, there's a funny scene in which Sweeney nonchalantly slices a customer's throat while singing about his daughter.

Bottom line: If you can handle blood, then you should definitely see Sweeney Todd. Best movie of 2007, bar none.

Update: Here's the info on Sweeney Todd from Screenit.com (found in the "Blood/Gore" section).

Please note: The following contains information which some may consider to be spoilers. Read with caution.

During the opening credits, we see blood splatter onto a window, run down various things (including the credits) and into water, while some bloody looking sausage is ground out.
We see roaches and other bugs crawling around Mrs. Lovett's kitchen, including over and in her meat pies.
Anthony has some blood from his mouth after Beadle beats him.
Recognizing Sweeney from his earlier days, Pirelli threatens to blackmail his former mentor for half his profits. As a result, Sweeney repeatedly hits him with a kettle, bloodying and severely wounding him (we see blood on his face and a small pool on the floor). When Tobias later enters, he sits on a long trunk, not seeing Pirelli's occasionally twitching hand sticking out between the lid and side. After the boy leaves, Sweeney takes his straight razor and slits Pirelli's throat, with extremely bloody results on the victim and some on Sweeney.
During a musical number, we see Sweeney slit various customers' throats, all with extremely bloody results (blood pouring and spurting out, some landing on the camera lens, etc.). We also see those bodies then slide down a ramp and fall into the basement below, landing quite hard on the stone floor.
Sweeney kills another person, has blood on his hands as a result, and smears some of that blood on a framed photo he holds.
We see (human) meat being processed out of a meat grinder.
Tobias eats a meat pie, hits something hard in it, and then discovers that it's a human fingertip. He then sees a bloody skeleton off on the side of the basement, and body parts in the meat grinder (he picks up a severed hand). A just-murdered body then drops down hard onto the floor.
Sweeney slices a homeless woman's throat, with bloody results.
Sweeney repeatedly stabs a man in the neck with his straight razor and then slices that man's throat (with extremely bloody results on the victim, Sweeney, and various parts of the room).
Upset about her misleading him, Sweeney pushes a woman into a roaring furnace and closes the metal door, locking her inside it. She's immediately engulfed in fire and burns to death.
A boy slices a man's throat, killing him, and spilling his blood onto his recent murder victim below him.

Well..... Superbad is not bad at all in comparison to Sweeney. Sweeney Todd, although artistically done with the blood effects, IS BLOODY AS HELL. Constant blood is through out the movie and is extremly graphic. NOTHING LIKE SUPERBAD. But again, the blood although there, is done very artistically. Great movie but the blood is like polar opposites. Sweeney has the cutting of throats, shalshing of throats, slicing of throats. All with blood squirting out rapidly.

You could look at www.screenit.com but this tells you the ending of the movie. But it gives descriptions of blood. I don't recommend it unless you're worried about someone else who is seeing it.

THere you go. If you look on the page at the rest... parts will BE GIVEN AWAY INCLUDING THE ENDING.

Superbad is comedy. Sweeney Todd is Action (i think). My answer is not really.

both are AWESOME movies and there's only one blood scene is Superbad, and it's only a spot on this guy's pants.

Are you kidding me? Superbad has only one gore scene. It shows a comic image of the cops graphically decapitates a character's throat. Sweeney Todd has way more gore.
