Why do movies need stunt doubles?!

Question: Stunt Doubles go through many years of training depending on expierence. Real actors don't usually take the time to go through this stunt training school. Therefore, the crew brings in an almost identical "stunt double" to do the stunt so the actual actor isn't hurt. It also has to do with law suit. Like I said before if an actor is hurt they can sue the movie company for a ton of money. Please vote me best answer, I thought my answer was awesome.

If the main actors do the stunts then they could possibly become injured or incapacitated and not able to finish the movie. Stunt doubles are not required to finish the movie. Also there are some things such as long falls, flips or rolls that the actual actor may not be able to do but are needed in the movie. This is where they would get a stunt double who is capable of doing these things.

Hope that helps.

Because actors are highly over paid and they are protecting there investments.
Besides, what if Steve Buschemi got in an accident and messed his face all up (yea, like it could get worse) then what?

Because some of these stunts require experts and if not done right could seriously hurt the untrained star
