I just watched it and Couldn't make much out of the plot. I like the fact that it's dealing with stariotyping, but I just can't fallow what the Heck is going on and it's very frustrating to have paid $20 bucks for the DVD...

It is an excellent film!
It actually WON the best picture oscar in 2005 or 2006
You are right it skips around but some of the best movies are shot that way.
Some directors are known for it (Ex- Quintin Tarentino)
Now that you've already seen it try watching it again.
Most films like that are better the second time around...you seem to catch things you missed the first time!
Its worth it....GREAT MOVIE!

Watch it again in a few days to let it sit in.
The point of it is that we all stereotype each other, not just white against black, but black against Hispanic, Hispanic against Middle Eastern, etc. It's not just a racial thing, it's often cultures that we stereotype even more than skin color. And the other point is that we all live together and are intertwined in each other's worlds, and we have to learn to outgrow our stereotypes or we will continue to destroy each other.

I believe it one movie of the year in 2005.
There isn't much plot to it and much off a story line to tell.
Although what i think is great about Crash is that all the story's of the people connect in some way. It shows "What if this happened" , "what if this didn't?" Because just by something you may do , could be a big effect on someone Else's life. It makes the point :Things aren't always what they seem. There can be allot behind something that has happened, which we don't realize.

It stereotypes stereotypes. Real Los Angeles is not a boiling pot of racial tension like this movie claims it to be. Definitely not deserving of Best Picture. It was a fine movie but really isn't accurate and the message it espouses is pretty preachy. So if you want to watch it, I'd recommend just watching it for entertainment, not as some grand social metaphor.
