Is there going to be a "Pirates of the Carribean 4"?!

Question: I think that the end of the 3rd "Pirates of the Carribean" really didn't resolve the series! Is there going to be a 4th?

This is probably the third or fourth question about a fourth movie from the PotC series in less than a week! I wonder what's going on with this sudden load of questions?

Anyway. As I have previously replied to similar questions, there's no official talk of a fourth movie so far. Both producer Jack Bruckheimer and screenwriters Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio have declared that they would like to work again with "Pirates of the Caribbean", but they also stated that they had no idea about how or when that would happen. If it happened at all.

Regarding the actors, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom have said that they don't want to be part of any future sequels, if they ever get to be confirmed (the scene after the credits of the third movie sees to that, giving Elizabeth and Will some kind of "closure"). Johnny Depp, on the other hand, has said that he loves Jack Sparrow and would like to portray him again for another movie or even two, since he thinks the character has a lot to be explored.

If a fourth movie is done, it will probably focus on Jack Sparrow and his adventures, introducing new characters and so on - but that might take a long while to happen (and we have to keep in mind that nothing is certain!). One of the possible plotlines was the fountain of the youth, hinted at the ending of PotC 3. Whether there's going to be a next movie or not, we have no idea and there's absolutely NO official talk about it.

I hope they just don't get too greedy - I love the series deeply (I'm fanatic for Pirates, actually) and I'd hate to see them making endless sequels just because of the money. PotC 1 was pure talent and creativity, while the sequels weren't as nice as the original one (after all, it's no secret that the two sequeles were only planned after the first movie was a hit), but I don't deny that I'd love to see more of our loved Jack Sparrow on the screen.

That's the rumor.....

yess!!
&& will turner is supposed to come backk
jack sparrow is in it too!!
:]
its supposed to come out in 2010 though

No. thats it. It was written as a trilogy.
Orlando Bloom has said that he doesn't want to do any more.

I sure hope they don't but as far as IMDB goes nothing is in talks or rumored even.

don`t think so

Fast forward to very end of the credits, (you can do it on all of the Pirates movies) there is more of the movie......
Kind of annoying that they did that especially with the first one it explained so much!
