Every one always says, Frodo becuase he is the main character or Legolas becuase he is so hott. But I like Sam the best. He saved Frodo's butt so many time, he deserves to be praised:]

My favorite has always been Gandalf.
Directly behind him in line is Goldberry the River-daughter and Eowen.

Either Legolas or Aragorn. Both cute and talented on the battlefield.
LOTR - Gandalf all the way. He has mad skills; magic, multi-lingual and can whup *** with the best of them.
Star Wars - Yoda. Basically the same as Gandalf - the daddy.
The real question is which of the two would win in a ruckus (or perhaps in Scissor, Paper, Stone:what an epic match that would be); that is what you should be asking, my friend.
