Old Boy...not quite Horror.

But just the plot gives me the chills

Godzilla! Hands down. :))

THE GRUDGE!!!!!!!!!!

the ring

but i have only seen the english version.... but i really want to see the Japanese they say it is twenty times scarier

the original shutter

There's not enough room. Too many to think of. I do dig Kairo...grandaddy to the Ringu and Grudge pictures. Deliciously creepy. There was an American remake called Pulse starring the girl from Veronica Mars. But the original kinda does it for me...creepy, quiet...a stunning indictment on our society and how we have allowed the machines we use to separate us and further isolate us from ourselves. You can feel the deep and abiding loneliness seep out from the screen and into the room as you watch. There are no big jumps...no blood...no broken limbs...just a cautionary tale for those of us who spend so much time at our PC's...and the cost of not realizing we are spending the currency of our lives within an electronic signal.
Story is off a few friends who discover a website that may have recorded ghostly images of some very suicidal people before what looks like their deaths......and things just get very bad after that.
The American remake blew the ending...and I am hoping you have not seen it. The original is to die for....literally.

A Tale of Two Sisters

I've also heard great things about Oldboy

The most suspenseful japanese movie i've seen was "The Green Monkey" - about an hypnotic presence that transferred from person to person and involved murder and such...a good movie all up.Real creepy..

korean - Oldboy
japanese - battle royale
