I'm an Indian
and i like Indian movies because it contains all elements in it. there are liked by every group of people in India.satisfying the expectations of different kinds of people and their likeness through one movie is a very difficult thing to do and most of the Indian movies live up to it.

maybe 5/1000 will be good in a year

Depends on the movie... the more historical the better....if you want a good one, check out "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee". EXCELLENT!!!

If you are talking Bollywood...I don't know. I have yet to watch any. If you are speaking of Native Americans...I have seen no Hollywood movie that realistically, respectfully and authentically represents them....on any level. Maybe a piece here...or a scene there...but almost always too chock full of steretypes to allow any
real portrayals for any of the First Nation.
I just cant get into them, and i have tried. I think it is the culture gap
interesting...
I don't dig Bollywood film for the reasons that:
Non-original ideas
Singing dancing in every movie-even serious ones
Low, low production values
Lack of synch sound
Different singers then actors
Bad acting.
the only thing i hate is when they remake a hollywood movie. for example, meet joe black and the usual suspect. like geez cant you use your own brain and create a good story line instead of 'stealing' one. i dont watch a lot of hindi movies that much anymore unless i hear about a really good hindi movie that i should watch like that new one with hritk and ashwarya, i still need to check that one out. one of my favorite hindi movies i have seen were karan and arjun, ashoka, devdas, munda bhai. ive noticed that there cutting down on the musicals, i dont belive they should do that, its what makes bollywood, bollywood. no musicals is just plain indian hollywood.
I haven't seen any yet, but I suspect they can't be any worse than some of the American ones.

Of course Bollywood movies are all intresting.
I watch classic films also. Matterinfact, all of South Asian nations watch Bollywood movies. However, when was i was small i always watched Bollywood movies & still counting.
This weekend i wacthed "Race" & "Jalsa" in America. I love the sexy Indian models or actress.
