Is Darth Vader the greatest movie villain of all times? Can u name a better 1?!

Question: ...how about someone much more classic and literary, yet just as equally dark, mysterious and unmerciful as Vader???

...as far as cold and diabolicaI villians, I always have a certain affection for the infamous Fu Manchu....

...here is a detailed backstory; I think that as far as a sense of unrelenting cruelty and insidiousness, he could easily match Vader, a most respectable and comperable equal...

...I also have an underlining affection for Vlad Drakul, aka Vlad the Impaler, whom author Bram Stoker based his classic horror novel, Dracula, upon; I did one of my college papers on him, as as far as cold and emotionless acts, he could easily match Vader, toe-to-toe...

...Fu Manchu and Count Dracula have both made for equally diabolical and insidious cinematic villiany, with many aspects to their characters, which can be easily found within the characterization of Darth Vader....Think About It!!!

Voldemort. H may not be better, but he does rank up there.

Hannibal lecter comes to mind

Dr. Hannibal Lecter

Anthony Hopkins ...

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

Anthony Hopkins's performance was the shortest ever to win a leading acting Oscar.(imdb)

The only one who might be more powerful is Sauron. But Darth is definitely at the top of the list.

Otherwise I would go with Jack Nicholson's character in the Shining or Kevin Spacey in the Usual Suspects.

he is a very good villan, but he sees the error of his ways in the end, and reforms and becomes all emotional lol.
im thinkin hannibal lector is a pretty good choice.
and gary oldman has played some of the greatest villans ever.
kevin spacey's character in the usual suspects, keyser s?ze was good.
but nah i've gotta admit, none of them are as epic and infamous as vader =]

and sorry, but voldemort is poor at best. unoriginal, uninspired.

Max Cady as played by Robert DeNiro from the remake of Cape Fear.
.

Scar from The Lion King comes to mind, just off the top of my head.
