How much $ would an actor earn for a scene in a feature film? 10 lines, big movi!
Question: I'm just curious because I have an audition tomorrow and my friend auditioned for the same role today and they asked her how much she was hoping to earn? I've never been asked that for acting, only for modeling and I want to answer the question without feeling nervous or wishy-washy. Any idea how much the extras or people with small parts in major films make? Thanks!

It does depend on a lot of things, last SAG rate for a day player I heard was $655.00, that's provided you're SAG, extra gigs that I've done recently can range anywhere in the range of $50 to $150, depending on what you're doing, although the Eddie Murphey movie they did in Denver recently was promising 8 bucks an hour for featured background. My agent usually makes the deal for me and I do more local stuff that major motion pictures. It also depends on whether you're in a right to work state or not. Seems like an odd question to get and it would throw me too. I would probably say "two point five million but I'm willing to negotiate down to gas money and a couple of slices of pizza", it's not a great answer but I think they'd remember me.
Well it can depend on a lot of things....an extra with no lines can walk across and earn $50. But it can depend on the film maker, and whether you have any lines, etc. Just ask what the pay is.
It is usually pretty good for such a short time.
Well if you REALLY want the part.. a little more than just for the money say you are open and it is more about the chance to have a scene in the film. I'm sure they will fairly compensate you and if not you will atleast have something to add to the resume
