What Are Some Movies That Have Really Offended You?!

Question: Honestly it takes alot for a movie to offend me. I try to understand a movie for what it is.

but some of the movies that really got me emotionally are one that involve human trafficking(sex trafficking), teens being raped, younger people dealing with drugs.

I dont really get offended by nudity like alot of people i know.

The Rob Zombie Halloween re-make.

I pretend it just didn't happen.

Seriously...Halloween (Rob Zombie one) was ridiculous. As far as offend me personally...Glitter. I was really offended that Mariah Carey stole 2 hours of my life to watch this piece of crap.

Love Actually. (Utter tosh)

Richard Curtis should be shot for inflicting us with that garbage.

Also, 'Driving Miss Daisy'. The foul and abusive language from Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman was appalling.

movies with sexual content. gag. my kids can't watch movies any more because of it. it's a shame movie makers feel they have to throw sex in there to get people to watch.

The movie "Trade" offended me because such a serious subject needs a movie that takes the matter seriously.

Are you scared (its like a cheep knock off of Saw)
Feardotcom
Silent Hill (i actually fell asleep)
Motor Home Massacre (WORST MOVIE EVER!)
the american version of The Grudge
basically any american version/remake of an asian movie bugs me

I would have to say "The Hills has eyes".

I actually find that sometimes it;s the films that offend me the most are the ones that I am just as likely to be thinking about days/weeks later because they touched a nerve. Though some movies are just plain old offensive.

So I found the concepts in A Time to Kill really offensive (sometimes it is ok to take a gun out and shoot someone if you are angry enough). Or Grease I found surprisingly offensive (if you can;t get the guy, change to be exactly what HE wants!) or Alexandra's Project (really in your face, confronting stuff).

With the exception perhaps of Grease I was thinking about the other films for a fair while after seeing them. Sometimes, then, being offensive isnt automatically a bad thing.

I loved the movie American Psycho, but then I bought the book, and I found it really hard to read because it was so offensive.

i don't get offended very easily but one movie i found really offensive because of the message it was giving was 'men of honour' - it has a man that is obsessed with passing his diving test for the navy or something close and even though he is bullied for his race and i think he is nearly paralysed or something he still does it - but what offended me was the fact that he spent all his time worrying about being able to pass this stupid test that meant nothing, and in the meantime his wife and small child were left with no money and no love because he spent all his time and money on doing that. that really got to me because i thought he was just being proud and stupid. don't know why it got to me so much! but it has always annoyed me that we were encouraged to cheer him on when all he was doing was abandoning his wife and young son!! grrr...gets me angry just thinking about it!! my boyfriend tells me it is a male pride thing...!
