What is the difference between a F'ilm' and a 'Feature Film' ???!

Question: When I was a kid at the cinema a film would start at say 3:30 you would go and sit through information films...safety etc then trailers... Then the feature film would come .
Its either that or a term that has just been chopped in half in the progress of language?.

in the past, feature films were the film that you came to see while before the feature film they had a short film kind of to get you warmed up for the actual film, also theatrical trailers are know as films as well,

I believe length is the difference its like the difference between animation and a feature length animation.

Sometimes tv shows have what they call "feature length episodes"

This suggests, to me anyway, that any moving picture is a film, but a feature film lasts at least 90 minutes.

The lines are very blurry though.

i didnt think there was one. i think feature film is just trying to make it more special
