Reasons why you LOVE ...The Lord of the Rings....!!!!?!
Question: I love it because I was forced to go see it when it came out. I was never ever into films like that before I saw it, and it changed my whole perspective on them types of films which involve alot of old fashion war very old, and dark fantasy, I mean after I saw it I started watching films like Gladiator and Baraveheart, and I NEVER DID!!! I love it its my favorite....

Reasons I love lord of the rings:
First, has absolutely NOTHING to do with the films. Don't get me wrong. They were magnificiant when taken as the beautifully made masterpieces they are (separate from the book). PJ did an excellent job of bringing many of the visions of my own imagination and projecting them to the big screen exactly as I had seen them in my mind. The actors were superbly chosen and each fit the characters they were portraying splendidly. But my love for this story runs far deeper than mere movies.
I've been listening to my father read this story to me for as long as I can remember. And I've read it for myself many times since I learned to read. It is THE epic fantasy of the last century. The world came alive to the eyes of the child in me and the depth of the characters and history, everything. It is absolutely incredible. If you've not read the books yet, I highly recommend them. They make the movies look like film school student flash animation by comparison.

i love fantasy and... horses! i see lots of them in lord of the ring (tee hee!). i also like battle movies like troy and stuff also, i like movies with people having some sort of power. and its more mature so its not like "oh look, a UNICORN!! lets go ride it in the sunset! nooo wait, there's something BETTAH! AN ELF!! LETS GO EAT HIM"
it has a real plot (and a good one too)
well i loved the books before i saw the movies, and i love the movies because they were SO well done. it's hard to find any really good movies that were based on books, and the lotr trilogy was fantastic.
i loved the movies mostly, though, because they gave life to all the characters in the books so perfectly.
all the love between aragorn and arwen, the buddybuddy humour between legolas and gimli, the friendship between frodo and sam...
loved it.

I also was forced into seeing the 1st LOR movie, and I was insistent about not going...but I did go. I love all of them, of course the second and third are better than the first.
Same here I always associated those types of movies for geeks or ppl like them..I watched it with my brother at home and I loved it. I love the acting great cast. Special effects are crazy awesome and the storyline is great as well. I remember seeing the 1st film and being made that they ending it like that for continuation.
