How would I end a Scary/mystery Movie?!
Question: Well, the turth is I'm still at the begging but I'm making things up as I go along. My movie is called stuck in the House for the Night and it's about a girl named Crstyle who had a friend named Phoenix who died in a house and they (her friends and her family) get stuck there for the night until they are able to solve his death. But at the begging Crstyle and the rest of her gang is not stuck in the house yet let alone knew Phoenix was died yet.

They are scared at first but eventually determine that it would be the best for everyone involved to solve the situation of the death. Then allow them to say their goodbyes; ending with Phoenix moving on. The rest then resume their lives but each is changed by the experience.
End it like this: So we thought she was dead buut not really dead just haunting us, this place and making misery for us all
Maybe you could end it with someone solving the death, but at the very last view, put Phoenix around the corner or something like that. You know, leave them on the edge of their seat, rubbing their eyes, or wondering intently.
Make it so she wasn't really dead, but lurks in the house and kills whoever enters because she's an evil psycho

an interesting way to start movies is to start with everyone alive and then the person dies and then they find out.
have this phoenix fellow have another side too him that makes him evil when he comes back as a ghost or whatever. and as the movie progresses give subtle hints until the main action starts. a good way to start the exciting action in the movie is to have a character disappear or killed. after the movie just starts to get exciting have the living characters find out about his murderous side nobody knew about. also start the movie and have phoenix live long enough to be able to tell his relationship to the others. a good ending would be to have 2 characters left in the house.
one being Crstyle and another friend and no matter what do not make one of them sacrafice themselves for the other. that is cheesey and very predictable. have them either both live or have one die in a very scary and sudden way.
i'll let you determine how to get ride of the phoenix guy so they live but whatever you do don't make the house an already haunted house. the reason it's haunted is because phoenix died. if it's already haunted it's going to seem like the amityvile horror.

Most scary movies have a happy ending, so why not do something different. Let everyone think there's going to be a happy ending but throw a twist to the ending. Get your monster to eat crystal.
