Buying Movie tickets online?!

Question: When you by tickets thru Fandango how does that work....Will i be able to print the ticket out or something? Im nervous to give my credit card number fearing that it might be used for other purchases in the future.

Has anyone used this site? How was your experience?

My friends and I have used Fandango a few times and there weren't any problems. Fandango is the only way to go if you want to get into the largest theater in my area on a Friday or Saturday night. My only complaint is that they charge a service fee on each ticket, so our final cost ends up closer to $12/ticket for a movie. (this means that for the price of going to see 1 movie with my wife, we can have a month of Netflix rentals.)

You can now print out the tickets at home if you want, or just inside the theater is a kiosk, similar to Will-Call, that lets you get tickets you've bought online. You must use the same credit card you used to purchase the tickets.

So long as you're using a modern browser that supports encrypted connections when you buy the tickets, using a credit card online AT A TRUSTED SITE (like Fandango) is fairly safe. You should always monitor your credit card statements for any sort of bogus charges. You cannot be held responsible for those charges - by law.

It's alright if you give them your credit card number. I've used Fandango and I never have any problems, so you probably shouldn't. My experience was great because it was so easy.

no you don't print the ticket you book your seats pay on line which I have always found safe. On the day you've chosen to go to the cinema you put your card into the machine at the cinema and it spit's out your tickets. Easy.

Do not do it, unless the movie is a new release. They have a service charge, and you end up paying for the service to reserve your tickets, and the movie was not sold out.
