Can anyone explain the closing scene of Eragon?!

Eragon (Ed Speelers) tells Ajihad (Djimon Hounsou) that he will fight the Urgal invasion alongside the Varden. Eragon and Durza the Shade fight, and Eragon kills him by stabbing his sword Zar'roc through Durza'sd heart. The Urgals retreat. Eragon and Saphira (Rachel Weisz) follow Arya (Sienna Guillory) on her way to the elf village of Ellesmira, but she tells them to stay behind as they are now legends to the Varden and will be called upon if they are needed again. And elsewhere, Galbatorix (John Malkovich) cuts away his map of Alagaesia, revealing his dragon.

i didnt like the ending either of the movie

It was meant to be in 3 parts just like Lord of the RIngs. I guess they pulled out of it altogether.
Eragon the movie was made from a book and Im pretty sure there is more than one book. So maybe it has been left open for a sequel.
Possible TV series...? I was confused myself, but I was kinda confused the entire movie. lol. It builds and builds and builds and build and ends in like 10 minutes. lol. I would say, expect a TV show, not too much a sequel. THe movie had bad rating and I doubt that Hollywood will invest in another movie like that. Hope this helps!

The reason it failed is because it was an okay movie. Plus, it was mostly Eragon fans who went to see it, i.e. people who read the book. The book and movie were barely related. "Eragon 2" would be Eldest, which was written awhile ago. The last of the trilogy is Empire (unless it has been changed), it is so big, the author said he will have to make 2 volumes. The first volume will be released on September 23 2008, but the second volume's release date is unknown.
I really liked the first one though. =]
