I must admit that I did indeed watch this film during the Yuletide. *cringe* I actually enjoyed it though it was a network airing with commercial cuts. The basic story actually was solid and made sense though it would shock some people.

No, I don't really think I'd let children watch this. It's not that it has such dreadful scenes. But, it could mess with their minds because the story is making him the son of Satan, not a good and saintly character. I don't think it's right to throw this at youngsters. They can appreciate it when they're teens~if it's still around. Then, they'd get the jokes involved.

The world can't end on December 21! My birthday is December 22, and that just wouldn't be any fun!

Among my favorite moments are:
"Awww! Grandpa got run over by a reindeer!"~Bill Goldberg of Robert Culp

"Is an angel getting his wings, Daddy?"~little girl (uncredited) to father (uncredited) following some of Santa's mayhem~~perhaps when he took out some bell-tolling person?

"I'd rather be crazy and alive than ignorant and dead!"~Culp to Douglas Smith~~Culp is the angel who has to battle Santa, sending him to his father, if I recall the story correctly.

I'm sure that there are many I've missed that I might catch the next time it's aired~if it does. I did like the "hell deer"! All in all, it is rather a clever script, especially with that summing up at the end. I like that, too.

From IMDB~~just in case people are wondering if we're hallucinating or something:
Bill Goldberg plays the Devil's son who lost a wager with a angel and was forced to spend 1000 years playing Santa. But, now the wager of that time has run out, and good old Santa isn't so joyful anymore. He makes up for lost time and starts to kill people.

In the Christmas Eve of 2005, Santa Claus (Bill Goldberg) arrives in Hell Township killing the locals. The teenager Nicholas Yuleson (Douglas Smith) finds that his grandfather (Robert Culp) is actually an angel that defeated the Devil's son in a bet, and the evil creature has spent the 1,000 years playing the good Santa Claus, giving toys to the children. Now that the bet is over, Santa wants revenge. Nicholas and his girlfriend, Mary Mackenzie (Emilie de Ravin), try to escape from the killer and find a way to stop him until the end of Christmas.

Ooh! Thanks to IMDB, here's one of the funniest bits:
Nicholas Yuleson: The clock just struck midnight at the pole. Christmas is officially over for you, Santa!

Santa Claus: You know, most people make the same mistake. The correct time at the pole is completely discretionary, because the poles are where all the time zones actually converge.

Mary "Mac" Mackenzie: He's scary, yet educational.

Yep! It's that kind of film!

Goldberg needs to go back to wrestling instead of doing cheesy movies.
