Star Wars 4 a new hope battle question?!

Question: After everyone escapes the death star there is a battle between Tie Fighters and the Fulcon. Han climbs up a ladder and luke climbs down a ladder. How the hell can they look behind them and see eachother? They aren't strapped in so this makes no sense. Also it would mean one of them is facing up and one of them is facing down? Also has anyone ever seen the storm trooper hit his head a few scenes earlier?

I know it's bad form to answer a question with a question but in this case it does kind of fit. What is one of the biggest problems that we've had in the "real" world when it comes to space flight? Weightlessness and how to get around it. There is the theory of "spinning" to create gravity but I don't know how far along we are in that or if it even works. Anyways ...

In any of the recent Sci-Fi movies do we see people floating around in their space ships ... no, because they have artificial gravity created in some manner usually with repulsor field technology. This is a theory that we are working on also but are no where near learning how to do it but in the movies they can do just about anything they want to. In the scene you are talking about yes, either Han or Luke are upside down in relation to whether or not the Falcon is upside down or not but as they get to the gun emplacements they pass through an artificial gravity field that makes it seem as if they right side up no matter the current position of the Falcon. That's why Han can look down at Luke and tell him "Don't get cocky" after Luke scores his first "kill". It might not be a feasible thing in the "real" world but anything goes in the movies these days.

The Stormtrooper banging his head is one of the "sight gags" that Lucas has put in all of the Star Wars movies. The shoe that many say is in Return Of The Jedi is not there but most of the other ones that get mentioned are. There is a scene in the opening battle scenes of ep III where they use a kitchen sink as one of the missiles that strikes one of the Republic cruisers as Obi-Wan and Anakin fly through the chaos of that battle to rescue Palpatine.

May The Force Be With You ...

Your absolutely right, it was a **** up on there part, unless there is like a vid screen where they can talk to eachother
