Cast for The Twilight Movie?!
Question: okay, so i went on this site for the Twilight movie, that people leave messages on and everyone seems to think that the person acting as edward is not "suitable". so he's not the most gorgeous guy, but wats their problem? who thinks the guy who plays him is a good choice? cuz he might be a better actor than other peoples. Also, he does have the right characteristics. as for the rest of the cast, i think they're all really good people. especially alice. personaly, ashley greene is the best person to act as alice. so wat do you all think?

People are mad about the Edward character b/c he's everyone's dream guy (vampire... whatever) and when they read the book everyone has a different image of their dream man in their head. No one will ever be good enough to play Edward in their opinion. I think Robert Pattinson is great for the role. He's pale, brooding, and he's not some overrated actor that would probably ruin the movie with their terrible acting. I just hope they don't butcher the book.
I like the cast..i thought that jacob should have been cuter but taylor lautners pretty cute...
yah, i think that he is really good. he has a sharp jawline, just as i had imagines. and i like the choice for alice, too

I think that you are so right. Edward isn't that bad. It's the people who are totally obssesed with Twilight that are freaking out about the casting. It really is good. I just wish that the guy who was playing Edward was a little more muscular.
i think that he would do good as edward but people don't like him because of the harry potter movies and because they want that one other guy who was just a bit too old
I would have hoped they would have read the book and at least tried to match the descriptions.

the cast isnt that great since the casting ppl didn't read the book too well.

you know... it's a movie not our dreams so i dont' see why all these REAL DEDICATED fans are complaining.
because one stephenie meyer didn't pick them. she had nothing to do with them! and anyways, we can't just pick them. that's why casting directors have jobs.
two, they're not suppose to look EXACTLY like the descriptions in the book... that's why they have a person who does the screenplay.. it's BASED off the book.

In my mind, most of the characters looked a lot different than the people who are cast to play them, but that is how most book-movies are. The descriptions are kind of open ended, so no one really will have the same opinion. I think that the actor playing Edward will do a good job, but in my mind I pictured him differently, like with lighter hair, but we will just have to wait until the movie comes out. Make up, hair, and wardrobe have a lot of impact, so they may end up looking quite different in the movie.
