Is the movie, Lars and The Real Girl good?!

I watch a lot of movies and I thought that this movie was going to be a bomb. But, to my surprise, I liked it. The character of Lars is well developed. Lars leads a reclusive existence in the family's garage. He is painfully shy and eccentric. You can't help but try to understand his unusual desire to have an artificial doll as a companion/lover--minus the sex. Sex is not what Lars is looking for. He merely wants to have a long-lasting, deep relationship with SOMEONE. Isn't that what most of us would like to have for ourselves someday?
It was probably one of the worst movies of 2007.
The commercials made it look really good, but the product as a whole is a complete disappointment and far-fetched.
