It comes from 6 being the number of incompleteion in the old testament when God created the earth!. The number 3 is perfection, so 666 is perfect incompletion, the devil!. It is also used to describe the beast aka devil in the book of Revelations in the Bible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

its the mark of the beast(devil)!. you should read revelation,its the very last book in the bible,it will explain what will happen in the end days!. revelation says that when their are rumors of wars, famines, gas prices rising, food prices rising, foreclosers (sorta whats happening right now) it will be the end days!. Then the rapture will come, so i guess in a couple of more years if you see anyone disapeering(mostly children, and babies) the rapture has came!. when this happens everyone is going to freak out and think that "aliens" came to invade(THIS IS SOOO FALSE)!. Then a man out of no where is going to come and decieve people!. This man is going to be the most friendliest guy ever, and he is going to talk about peace!!!! he will set up a world government!. He will sign a peace contract with the rest of the world!. THERE IS GOING TO BE PEACE!!! EVERYONE WILL BE GETTING ALONG( but not for long!!! so whatch out!!! There will be peace for about 3 years the other 4 years will be hell on the face of the planet!!! This Man will require everyone to get a mark either on the hand or the forehead!!! this mark symbolizes 666!. Whoever does not get this mark on there hand or forehead will not be able to buy,sell,or buy anything!!!!!(houses,food,clothes,water) you cannot buy anything until you get the mark!!!! But wait dont get fooled!!! The man i was telling you about is actually the ANTI CHRIST(devil)!. People will be sooo fooled by him!.
