Why do people like widescreen movies better that fullscreen movies??!

Question: Why do people like widescreen movies better that fullscreen movies!?!?
Answers:
Because movies are generally taped in a wide format which means when you watch a fullscreen version you are actually missing some things that were supposed to be in the movie(they cut the sides of the shots to make it fit) When you watch widescreen you have to deal with the bars(if you are still stuck using the old type tv) but at least you don't miss parts of the movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

widescreen versions of movies allows you to see more of what's going on to the sides, but there are the black lines on the top & bottom!. I think widescreen is best to see the full picture, but fullscreen is better for a smaller tv!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i dont, but i guess it cause wide screen looks more like the shape of the screen at the theaterWww@Enter-QA@Com

Because they have widescreen monitors so for them its fullscreen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

personally i like full screen more, but i asked this girl i knew why and she said cuz you can see more things on the sides of the screen that full screen cuts off!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i dont!.!.!.i like the full version
with the widescreen i feel like im missing some if the movie is missingWww@Enter-QA@Com

I don't!.!.

I work at a video store, and a lot of people insist on Fullscreen!.!.!. they hate the widescreen versions!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Movies are originally made widescreen and when they put movies in the fullscream format the left and rights sides of the movie are cut offWww@Enter-QA@Com

Because widescreen is more digital and HD (high definition) and the ratio is good quality!. Full screen may show the whole thing but it doesn't have a greater ratio aspect than widescreen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

wide screen is how the movie is shown in theaters!.
also, you can see more of the movie screenWww@Enter-QA@Com

wide screen is how it was inted to be played in the theaters!. when you make it full screen it cuts a bit off and makes it distort the imageWww@Enter-QA@Com

because fullscreen cuts off the sides!. I never watch fullscreen anymore!. So long as you have a 15" TV or larger, I'd go with widescreen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think full screen is so much better!. but some people like to see whats going on in the background i guessWww@Enter-QA@Com

The is a huge difference between Fullscreen and Widescreen!.
Widescreen is the aspect ratio of the original theatrical release - so if you actually want to see the movie proper you should watch widescreen!. However, unless you have a widescreen or very big TV - it does reduce the picture size!.

As an example - I saw True Romance at the cinema and then bought is on video (yes VHS, it was a long time ago) - in the widescreen version you see the whole of Elvis talking to Clarence, in the fullscreen you only see his arm!.

In Star Wars (Episode 4) there is a scene where the Sandpeople are aiming a gun from a cliff - in the widescreen version you see how many sandpeople are involved, only one of them is visible in the fullscreen version!.

What's nice is when the DVD comes with both!. This is standard in Britain - and its annoying that I have to choose living in the US!. (And I think multiregion players are still illegal)Www@Enter-QA@Com
