Grindhouse?!

Question: Grindhouse!?
Who else loved "Death Proof" but found "Planet Terror" very boring!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
There was some good dialog in Planet Terror, though!. Like:

Mom
"If anyone comes, shoot them!."

Kid
"But what if it's daddy!?"

Mom
"Especially if it's daddy!."

I definitely liked Death Proof way more than Planet Terror!. Zombie movies are all pretty much the same!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i liked them both!.
to be fair tho, they are two very different types of movies
they do share the commonality that they are cheezy
actually i loved them both
and the trailers tooWww@Enter-QA@Com

I liked them both, but maybe because I didn't see them as a double feature!. I actually thought Death Proof was a bit dull whenever Kurt Russell's character disappeared!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

!.!.!.!.a lovingly produced homage to the no-holds-barred, no-punches pulled grindhouse films of the late seventies and early eighties, "Planet Terror" seemed to be much more truer to the spirit of the classic cult/grindhouse films of the past, than Tarantino's "Death Proof; although both films were quite delectably enjoyable, it seems that Tarantino sort of coped out, when it came to the overall grindhouse spirit, and his film ended up reflected more of the classic renegade drive-in type of film (!.!.!.the cop-out was even more reflective, as Tarantino didn't even attempt to come up with his OWN faux trailer, for the original theatrical presentation of "Grindhouse")!.!.!.!.

!.!.!.I'd like to think that if "Planet Terror" was put in a time machine, and taken back to the classic grindhouse era previously mentioned, it would easily not look out of place, amongst classic cult/grindhouse cinema, such as "Dawn of the Dead", "Galaxy of Terror", "Hell of the Living Dead" and the "The Gates of Hell"; there were many films, released in the late seventies and early eighties, in which the filmmakers said, "!.!.!.to hell with the MPAA", and had the balls and courage to release the films theatrically unrated, despite the adversity and reluctance of the newspapers and television to carry the ads (!.!.!.funny how, despite these obstacles, the films STILL managed to find their audiences); I would be very hard-pressed to believe, that if Robert Rodriguez had been around during that time, that he wouldn't have the same courage!.!.!.or the same balls!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Actually I liked Planet Terror a lot!. I like those kind of movies, with zombies, and the cast was really good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Personally Grindhouse made me sick!. If anyone has actually watched a REAL film played in Grindhouses, they'd realize that this film wasn't much like one!. It seemed like the directors were trying way too hard and were very over pretencious!. Where was the random nudity, where was the pointless violence, over amounts of bad dialoge, or parts of the film that make it obvious that this film was from a different country but that someoe had just dubbed english over it, where was the nonsense pointless plot!? Now usually I don't look for this in films but if you're going to do something, you should do it right!. To me the film was just trying too hard to be over the top!. I think they had the right idea, with the film messing up and such, but didn't put it in all of the right places, like the plot!.

I know most won't agree with me, but this is just what I think!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i thought the movies were the other way around!.!.!.

death proof was boring and planet terror was good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i like planet terror more than death proof!. I thought the girls in death proof were so ugly!. Like Butterfly is so butt ugly to me!. And that movie is all like a girl power type movie!. I do love the chargers and the car chase and the fight!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
