I have never understood the husbands role in this movie!. Does he not know he's dead!? Does he not want HER to know he's dead!? Someone please explain his part in this movie, thank you!Www@Enter-QA@Com

As far as I could tell, he didn't know he was dead, didn't know what was really happening to him!. He had a vague feeling that he was somewhere familiar, that he still loved his wife, but he was dazed from war and most likely from being dead and adrift in spirit form!. The summary from Wikipedia states: "Grace and the children realize that Charles is also dead, but he was not aware of this fact!. The female servant is heard telling the gardener 'I do not think he knows where he is'!."

I always thought that they thought they were alive and their house was haunted (those who were really living) and they start to relize theyre dead at the end of the movie and the husband confirms it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
