Question: Why did they make the movie "speed racer" more of a virtuality movie, than a realistic movie!?

Speed racer was an afternoon cartoon in the 70's!. If it was to be a realistic movie they would not have picked Speed Racer as a basis!. They were hoping to bring in the same audience as those from the Adams Family movies, Brady Bunch movies, Lost in Space movie, Dragnet movie, Get Smart, etc!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
