Question: Is anyone else upset that Peter Jackson will not be making The Hobbit!?
He is the only director who could do Tolkien justice since he is more knowledgeable about the books than other directors!. I don't think that the film will be as good if he doesn't do it himself!. Granted, he's obviously not a perfect director but some films are not made for certain directors, and the Hobbit is not made for the director who has been chosen (guy who directed Pan's Labyrinth)!. If it follows how Pan's Labyrinth was done, it will not be appropriate for children even though it was originally a children's story!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am neither upset nor worried about The Hobbit now!. Peter Jackson is still involved as a Producer and will still have plenty of input into the project!. Del Toro is an excellent director and I'm sure he and Jackson will work together to make sure that both Hobbit films will fit in thematically with The Lord of the Rings!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think he'll do just fine!.!. there is a HUGE difference between The Hobbit and Pans Labyrinth!.!. pans labyrinth was never intended to be for kids!.!. that was the whole point!. that does not mean that he cannot make one that is!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
