okay i have a few questions to anyone who has seen the movie hard candy!.
1!. is it really based on true events!?
2!. who was the girl really!?
3!. what was the whole thing with her friend telling her what happend then killing himself!?
4!. how do you think they killed the girl!?
5!. do you think jeff killed more than the one girl!?

Her name was Hayley Stark!. There's a possibility that she and her (dead) friend Donna were "partners in crime"!. They could've possibly both gone around messing with pedophiles, since at one point in the movie she talks about asking a friend to help her with castration!. If Donna had tried this by herself, she may have been killed and Hayley was there to seek vengeance when the two pedophiles started looking for girls again!.

The last girl Jim molested he killed with a friend of his!. Hayley used this guilt and the fact his love would find incriminating evidence of him molesting young girls as a mind game so he would commit suicide!.

There's no way to tell how they killed the girl, it's never revealed in the movie!.

Probably not!. He was an accessory to just this one murder, and he payed for it!.

That or at least took pictures of them naked!. When she raids his safe even though they don't show the pictures it's obvious that they're of the underage models, either with their clothes off or doing sexual acts with Jeff!.
I happen to have it on DVD!. The style is really eye-catching and the whole story is damn good!. Believe me it's very hard to make a great movie in one location with only 2 people!. It's almost depressing that it's so overlooked, although I'm hoping more people see it since Ellen Page is becoming the next big star!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think you're reading far too much into this!. The movie was pretty dire!. The acting was good but as for tension etc, it was distinctly lacking!.
If memory serves me right, it was a long time ago I saw the film, didn't the male lead kill himself at the end - I believe that may have confirmed his guilt!Www@Enter-QA@Com

3!. Jeff (the guy she tortured) told her that his friend Aaron had killed the girl (Donna)!. Then Ellen Page's character told Jeff that Aaron told her that Jeff had killed Donna, then Aaron killed himself!.

P!.S!. I rented it thinking that I would like the movie, but I actually couldn't stand it, nor could I stand Ellen Page!. Sorry, but I think she started out great in the beginning but as time went on through the movie, it just got worse and worse and it was painful to watch her try to act her way through the crappy script!. Cinematically it also started out strongly but just ended up cheap/flat!. There were just too many questions lingering after the end of the movie, and not the type that gets your brain into a good mood (more like "Wait!.!.!.what just happened, now!?" instead of "Wow, that's so interesting, I wonder what!.!.!.")!. Jeff was in a lose-lose position by the end, so it really didn't matter what he did, he still would've been screwed, so when there is no "out" for someone whose guilt you cannot be sure of, it leads a bad taste in my mouth and Page's character just struck me as more of a predator than "Jeff"!.
And it seems like my first instinct was correct, as the movie is based on predatorial Japanese girls who would do similar things to businessmen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
