Why would Ben Stein destroy his credibility like this?!

Question: Why would Ben Stein destroy his credibility like this!?
Here is an example of the type of review that is not only common, but prolific on websites and in newspapers and articles about the propagandist garbage "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" that he is pandering: "Mixing physical apples and metaphysical oranges at every turn "Expelled" is an unprincipled propaganda piece that insults believers and nonbelievers alike!. In its fudging, eliding and refusal to define terms, the movie proves that the only expulsion here is of reason itself!." JEANNETTE CATSOULIS - NY Times
Why would someone abase themselves like this!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

What do you mean destroy his credibility!?

His blatant lies or lack of knowledge, (depending on how you look at it) immediately show that he has no understanding of the subject that he is talking about!.

Ben Stein has always proclaimed his political and religious beliefs!. What discredits him!?

See above

Is it that your personal scientific beliefs are not the same of Ben Stein!? Has he ever proclaimed anything different!? Evolution hasn't been proven a fact (another argument which I will not go too much into detail about)

Science doesn’t deal with facts!. The theory of evolution is backed by mountains of evidence from many different areas of science and has been now for many years (just like gravity or plate tectonics)!. A rival explanation may arise; but so far nothing else has been offered up!.

and Stein's main point seems to be that scientists and many University professors push for the acceptance of evolution so what's the problem with him pushing for people to have their own opinion or belief!.

Nothing wrong with thinking for yourself; but there is plenty wrong with teaching anything other than science in a science class and lying is about as immoral as it gets!.

Too many young people these days don't think for their own or form their own opinion/beliefs, they just follow everyone else because that's what they have been taught to do (hence the movie targets professors)!.

Personally I think that professors (of what) are the last people that mould children nowadays; mores the pity really!.

What if I think you just destroyed your credibility because of your opinion of Ben Stein in this question!? Why are you questioning someone's opinions or beliefs in the first place, does that mean you think your opinions or beliefs are superior to his!?

Nope but I think that he either has no understanding of what he is talking about or that he is a liar and as such he destroys any credibility on the subject of evolution!.

On evolution not being a fact; there are many people who believe in an intelligent designer such as God!. I believe in God,

I’m happy for you!.

but there are other beliefs out there other than the Christian God that people believe in, who created the earth!. In the Bible, the flood would have buried large amounts of carbon from living organisms from both plants and animals which ultimately formed out fossil fuels!. The amount of fossil fuels indicates that the earth had a lot more vegetation than it did prior to the great flood!. This means that the earth's biosphere had a lot more carbon in living organisms (some believe around 500 times) than today!. Therefore, calling carbon dating any kind of "proof" is meaningless!. Now, I do believe in adaptation, but that too can be explained in the Bible in terms of skin color, the forming of different languages, body size, etc!.

All of this is has nothing to do with Ben Stein and his film!. These are all very old creationist claims!. Check out http://creationwiki!.org/Index_to_Creatio!.!.!. if you want to find the answers to them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I guess that he feels strongly enough about the subject to put himself out there for the criticism!.!.!. However, if filmmakers/documentarians listened to the critics they'd never make anything!.

I haven't seen Stein's film, and I'm sure that I would most likely disagree with what he says!. However, I highly doubt that he made it not expecting any harsh criticism!. Apparently it is an issue that is close to him; the critics don't matter much when you truly care about your work!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Don't put too much stock in reviews!. Some of my favorite movies of all time got terrible reviews, and some of the worst movies I've ever seen got great reviews (Titanic)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
