Question: Why do you think that recent Jesse James movie did so badly commercially and in terms of awards!?
I can't figure it out!. I was engrossed for the whole thing!. It was my favourite movie of last year and Casey Affleck was a revelation!. Brad Pitt was his usual, charismatic genius and the cinematography and direction were fantastic!. It's my favourite western now!. Can someone explain to me why it was received so poorly!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its a mystery as to why this did so badly at all awards ceremonies, but not such a mystery why it didn't do well at the box office!. I think it is one of the most beautiful films ever made!. If you get to see it in a digital cinema it is awesome!. The cinematography is simply stunning, you almost frame every scene and put them on your wall!.
Box office was poor probably because:-
a) It was very long
b) It was a western (not popular these days)
c) It is slow (not a bad thing in my book) and not a lot happens but is is very rewarding for the patient
d) it kind of debunks the myth of an American icon and I don't think the yanks are too keen on seeing their mythical heroes humanised
For lovers of great cinema however this really is a masterpieceWww@Enter-QA@Com

i didnt hear about until the oscars!. i netflixed it and thought it was a more than a little dull!.!.!.it was a good movie just too bland to get people to fork over $20!.00Www@Enter-QA@Com

It wasnt a bad movie, it was just so slow and dull that it was hard to get into!. The acting wasnt bad but nothing that jumped out at me and said give me an oscar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
