!.!.!.being a most devoted fan of the original film, and then having seen director Rob Zombie's take on the mythos, I must say that I have not been the strongest advocate of the remake/reimagining!. It is indeed a well crafted film, but it lacks the principle chills, shocks and scares that made the original film so memorable, though it IS scary and shocking, under it's own merit!.!.!.!.
!.!.!.!.in exploring Michael's past, and engaging in the depiction of his troubled youth, it seems that this take on the character appeared, for lack of a better description, more human in a most inhuman way, and all underlining supernatural aspects of the original character were disregarded, altogether!.!.!.!.
!.!.!.!.Donald Pleasence's disturbingly chilling performance as Dr!. Loomis was undeniably frightening, in it's own right, whereas Malcolm McDowell's take on the character, seem less chilling, and more opportunist!.!.!.!.!.
!.!.!.!.even the character of Laurie Strode seemed relegated to something slight more than just another happenstance character, and had none of the intrigue and emphasis of the character, as originally portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis!.!.!.!.
!.!.!.in the end, the overall effect of the remake seems inclined to outright shock, rather than chill, or scare, and in my final analysis, that was still pretty respectable, despite my inclination and devotion toward the original film!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought that Rob Zombie did a great job getting into the mind of Micheal Myers!. I thought him wanting the little sister to remember him was kinda a let down in the end, thinking Rob Zombie you'd think he'd be gorier with the ending but all in all, thought it was worth watching!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
