"Grindhouse" was a long, ambitious movie that didn't work!. It was meant to recreate the double feature experience, complete with previews for non-existant movies between the two "feature" films!. One of the double featues was "Planet Terror," directed by Robert Rodrigues and starring Rose McGowen; the other film in the double feature was "Death Proof," directed by Quintin Terentino and starring Kurt Russel!. The "previews" were inserted between the two films of the "double feature!."
Basically, "Grindhouse" was considered a failure by theater owners because it was over three hours long and didn't draw large enough crowds to justify running it when they could show two showings of a movie that would draw larger audiences during the same amount of time!. General audiences also seemed confused by the idea of seeing a "double feature" instead of a single film!. However, apparently video sales were always seen as the primary market for both films, because as soon as it became clear that "Grindhouse" wasn't doing well, its componant parts, "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof," were offered for sale separately on video!. Grindhouse was a film made by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez!. It was meant to be a "double feature" (two films played back to back), in homage to the way they would do double feature at low rate theatres in the 70s!. The first half of the film is called Planet Terror, and was directed by Rodriguez!. The second half is called Death Proof, and was directed by Tarantino!.

Back in the 70's they hand grindhouse theatres where they showed lots of explotation type movies where the plots where cheesy sometimes thats what grindhouse was it was a theatre!.
usually they would show two movies and when one movie was over they would show trailers to other movies sorta like an intermission then after that they would show the other movie!.
planet terror is a movie about zombies and a girl with a machine gun leg and death proof is about a stunt man who is a homicidal killer the movie was very good both of them
if you want story plot go elsewhere these movies are basically just something to enjoy there cheesy and fun to watch!.

it was a grind house film that was done in like homage to old horror films that used to be passed around from theater to theater!. it was like corny horror films with loads of violence and it was one movie then some trailers and then another movie!. the movies were supposed to be like 1 hour each but both Tarantino and Rodriguez liked writing the films and got into them so much they were about 90 minutes each instead

Robert Rodreguiz and Quentin Terintino got together and made 2 movies to be relased in the theater together under the banner, Grindhouse!. Terentino made Deathproof and Rodreguiz made Plant Terror!. They did to as kind of a tribute to the 70's style of horror films!. However they released them seprately on dvd one month apartWww@Enter-QA@Com
