!.!.!.I can't belive it, I decided to visit my younger brother who I have not seen in a while!. To mark the occasion I told him I will take him to the movies to see the Jet Li/ Jackie Chan "Kingdom" flick for old time sake (we loved Kung Fu flicks)!.
Well lo' and behold the movie was $9!.00 per person (this is at 4:00pm) soda was $4!.00 a cup, a hotdog was $3!.00 (times two plus tax) I think I spent about 34 dollars for a hour and a half movie!.
Do you think movie prices are "insane" ; how do you afford these crazy prices!.
!.!.!.by the way the movie was ok; a few good fight scenes especially the one between Jet and Jackie!.!.!.however the plot leaved a lot to be desired!. If they would have not used a third grader to write the script they could have made a movie to be remembered!. So overall it was ok!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

in South Australia the movie tickets are $12, a bag of lollies are $5!.50, an icecream is $4 and for a soda is $4!.50 my hubby and i rarely go to the movies anymore its just so expensive (costs us about $45 - $50 sometimes even more if we go out to dinner first) now we wait until it comes out video then it only costs $4 and whatever goodies you buy at the supermarket which are more than half the price!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well yes the prices at the movies are "insane"!. But unfortunately that's how they get you (That's why I rarely go to the movies)!. And the few times that I do go I hardly buy anything!. And I always try to catch the matinée for half price!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I only go to the movies two or three times a year once with husband and once or twice with daughter our movie place only has candy and the food isn't too high been 7 years since we have been to a big theaterWww@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with you!.I remember back in the day in the early 90s where matinee was only $3!.25 and reg price was $7!.00!. Going to the movies nowadays is getting expensive;especially if you take your family!.The 'bargain" matinee prices cost almost as much as the regular price which is probably up to $10!.00 a ticket!.I wouldn't go to the movies on an empty stomach either because the food is ridiculously over priced!. That's why I sneak food in!.lol!.The reason why it's getting expensive is to cover the costs of movies with all those special effects, salaries, and marketing!. To be frank with you movies now are not as good as they used to be so you have to be selective on which movie you'd want to spend your 10 bucks on!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have always thought that movie food is expensive, generally I don't really like it anyway so it's not a problem for me, the hot dog I'll get though!.
I didn't realize this was the movie, my brother brought it the other night it was a legit copy and I didn't watch it cause i didn't know what movie that was!.

LMAO!! I know exacley what you mean!. I went to the movies bout a month ago with my friend, and I had 40 dallors in my pocket!.!.left with 0!. Alls i bought is 2 tickets, 2 pops, and a bag of skittles!. And played like 2 games!. Its a rip off man!. When i purchased the skittles (that was 5!.00!) i opened up the box and at the bottom there was a little itty baggy!. I was so pissed!. And i worked so hard for that money, lol!.
