i think comedy movies are written with the star in mind, so if a person like jim carrey or adam sandler are popular and being thought of for the part they will make something that fits them!. now that they dont want to do comedy and other comedians have become popular, like Will Farrell who has a different style, they're not going to use that!. also they do everything in fads so if a 'fun romantic good guy wins in the end' comedy block is over and they have moved into 'bad language sports oriented comedy' fad thats what it's going to stay in for a while!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think you can attribute it mostly to just times changing!. That genre will probably makes its way back around at some point, but for now tastes have transcended to the subtle humor of Steve Carrell and/or your gross-out comedy like Superbad and any given Apatow film!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
