Its such a great little film which gets even better with age!. The kids think they've found Jesus when they come across Alan Bates (an escaped prisoner) and he is so startled when they ask him who he is he says 'Jesus Christ' and promptly passes out!.
The final scene with Bates on the hilltop (silhouetted) and having to outstretch his arms for two policemen is very moving!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The old film with Hayley Mills!? It was a charming film, full of innocence!. I believe most of the children were locals, not stage-school brats --- and it shows!. The music fitted beautifully too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
