I would really not consider The Others to be a horror movie but that was brilliant story!.

A lot of people laugh at me when i say the scariest movie i've ever seen was The Ring/Ringo!.!.!.haha i can't help it, i couldn't even bring myself to watch TRAILORS for the sequel! Plus, it scared me so bad I can't even watch the parts of Scary Movie 3 where she's in it!.!.!.don't laugh at me!!! It's the only movie that's ever scared me like that - if it helps, i grew up watching the Terminator, so i'm not afraid of people or robots, just creepy dead things =]Www@Enter-QA@Com
alright heres my take on this one!.
if you like blood, gore and lots of violence, go with hills have eyes, hellraiser, or 13 ghosts!.
if you want to be scared out of your pants watch the exorcist, an american werewolf in london or the descent!.
if you want a classic halloween one or two, friday the 13th one or two, or nightmare on elm street!.
some funny/horror ones are house on haunted hill, feast, or rose red!.
and just some good ones are childs play 2, lake placid (very campy), pirahna, scream or a really old movie called "the brood"!. like i said its all really about what your looking for!.
the older movies have more nudity/sex but more gore and suspense and the newer movies have more langauge, drug abuse and are just about the shock factor!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Phantasm is a really good one! It's about an alien that goes across the country and steals corpses from graves!. Then the Alien brings the corpses to life so they can be used as slaves on another planet!. Very creepy and unique horror film!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The only recent horror movie I cared for was The Lady in the Water!. I like the more old-fashioned ones that rely on spooking you with the unexpected rather than grossing you out with blood and guts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
