Question: In the movie, "Meet Joe Black", how was it that "Death" was able to give life back to the coffee shop guy!?
I can see how Death might be able to delay taking someone's life, but I don't see how he can give life back to someone who is already dead!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Given how silly and absurd the metaphysics are in this movie, I think you have to suspend disbelief and accept that, if Death can do all the other nonsensical things he does in this movie, he can do that, too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
When the former "Joe", the pre-death Joe got hit by a car, maybe he was still alive!. Hence, technically when Death took over Joe's body, Joe's life was delayed!.

Just like the "dopamine hypothesis"; when a person suffering Parkinson's disease takes dopamine, the drug's inhibitory function balances the neurotransmitters responsible for movement, attention, etc!. Just like this concept, when DEATH took over JOE, Death had to trade something accordingly to the so-called universal legislation!. He takes Joe's Body, He Gives Joe a Life!. He wastes Joe's time, He delays Joe's coming death!.
