Question: Why is it that trend oriented films tend to be released at least a year after the trend has ended and flop!!?
I will use one year and two films as an example

"Cant Stop The Music" (1980) (AKA" The Village People movie and also one of the most homoerotic mainstream films ever!."

"Xanadu" (1980) (AKA "The Olivia Newton John on roller skates movie")

Both were disco oriented films that were released at the height of the "Disco Sucks" movement when disco music had already waned considerably in popularity!. Can you guys think of some examples!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
because trends are trends!. you never know how long they're going to last or when they're going to hit their peak!. so movies try to cash in on that, but sometimes they're just a little too late and the trend has ended!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It takes over a year for a film to be written, cast, filmed, edited, market, sound mastered and released!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
