Pride and Prejudice movie question?!

Question: Pride and Prejudice movie question!?
ok, I'm trying to understand something that happened kinda in the beginning!.

You know the part when Jane gets asked to supper at Mr!. Bingleys place, and so she goes over there on horse back!. Then she gets sick!.
Then a little later when all of the Bennets go over there, they talk about Mr!. Bingley having a ball and all of that stuff!?
ok, well after all of that, when they all start to leave!.
And when Elizabeth comes outside to get into the carriage!.
Well, i don't understand why after Mr!. Darcy helps her into the carriage he lets go of her hand and then when he starts walking away, he kinda flexes his hand out!?
does that make sense!?
I don't understand if he was flexing from her grip or if it was a sign of love!? or what!?
can someone help me out with that question!?
sorry if its a little confusing!.!.

thanks=]Www@Enter-QA@Com

In the book, he had already started to have feelings for Lizzie by this point in the movie!. I think he flexes his hand after they touch because he is still at the point where he doesn't feel he should have feelings for her because of her weak connections and the inappropriateness of her family!.

When the two meet later on at Derbyshire, there is another close-up of his hand, but he doesn't flex it!. I think this is because he is allowing himself to care more for her and he is gaining respect for her family!. The things that seemed like obstacles to him in the beginning are no longer as significant!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, my interpretation of it was that it was obviously meant as a sign!.

He helped her into the carriage, just being a gentlemen or out of politeness of w/e!. But did you see Lizzie's expression after their hands touched!? She looked at him questioningly, a puzzled look upon her face!.

Yet, his expression pretty much didn't change, it remained the same, right!?

And then when Darcy walked away, that was the only sign that showed that he had been affected by their hands touching!. He flexed his hand out, coz he felt the connection!. And that was why Lizzie looked at him so questioningly too, coz she felt something as well!.

Hope you can make something of that, and I hope that helped!

But yeah, it was definitely the attraction, and NOT because he thought she was dirty or poor and or anything like that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

remember, at the ball before when all the bennetts first met mr!. darcy, bingley, and miss bingley!? how darcy said elizabeth was "fairly tolerable"!? well, he still hadn't gotten to like her yet until later, but he was just being polite and a gentleman as her helped her into the carriage!. he thought she was dirty, poor, and beneath him, and that's why he flexed his hand!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think its more from attraction, he has distanced himself away from female attention so when he comes to hold her hand, sparks fly, so the flexing is a responce to 'shake off' that feeling!.

well thats my interpretation anyways!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
