Answers:
you could go to film school - USC, UCLA, Columbia, NYU - but you would only be learning about how to make films, not how to be an agent!.
Agents typically go to business school or have a background in law since they deal with contracts and negotiations!. You probably want to major in business!.
The toughest part about being an agent is getting the right connections!. This is where going to the right college/university is important!.
I've heard of many smart guys going to work in the mail room of agencies like CAA and William Morris just to learn from the pros!.
Visit HollywoodReporter or Variety's Web site to get an idea of who's doing what and where the most "deals" are coming from!. Then, try to contact someone at one of these agencies to see what they recommend!. If you're not afraid of a lot of long hours and hard work, then you may be able to, one day, become an agent!.
But you'll want to figure out what kind of agent you want to be: literary (screenwriting), entertainment (movie & tv) or sports (athletes)!.
hope this helps!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
