Actually Mikey is not right, it was not the first film made completely in colour!. That honour goes to "Becky Sharp" [1935]!. However the new three colour process was in its early stages and looks dated!. But yes, "Gone With the Wind" and "The Wizard of Oz" were released in 1939!.
