!.!.!.!.although the melding of the sci-fi, action-packed and dark-humored aspects of this enjoyably eclectic genre film, made for quite an enjoyable viewing experience, with respects to this delightfully junky popcorn movie, what really appealed to most folks, was the underlining terroristic and subliminal approach to the classic 'alien invasion' movie premise!. "They Live" was based upon ideas from several short stories, which collectively related the idea of an invading alien vanguard, who rather than taking a more horrifically domineering and intimidating invasion approach, chose instead to instill corruption and weakness within governmental and national assets & insider trading!.!.!.!.in effect, conquering and destroying the Earth, economically!.!.!.!.!.

!.!.!.!.with director John Carpenter's take on this premise, he coupled these story aspects with additional forms of mass inculcation, including subliminal persuasion, Communism (!.!.!.which the human rebels are branded in order to turn the public against them), propaganda, evangelism (!.!.!.the rebels broadcast from a church, and one of them is a street preacher), and most pointedly, consumerism!.

!.!.!.all of this combined, definitely made for one hell of an dynamically entertaining, and thought-provoking classic cult film!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He obviously used psa!. He has obviously picked up on the classes that tend to be glued to the tv - those with lower intelligence and little money enough to entertain themselves in any other way - and interlaced this with the alien takeover by brainwashing via the same media!.
Roddy (I'm here to kick *** and chew bubblegum, but I'm all out of bubblegum) Piper, however doesn't quite fall into that category!. He is there as a result of personal circumstances and has the intelligence to question what's going on - ultimately convincing Frank to join him in kicking ***!!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't know but Rowdy Roddy Piper rules!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
